Lodi, California — December 6, 2025
There’s something about December that always pulls me toward places that feel warm, authentic, and a little bit enchanting — and this year, that place was Bokisch Vineyards in Lodi. Their Catalan Holiday Fiesta has been on my radar for a while, and let me tell you… it was every bit the winter feel, wine-kissed holiday escape I didn’t know I needed.
Picture this: a crisp winter afternoon, golden vineyards stretching out in every direction, and the scent of simmering paella drifting through the air as you walk in. It felt like stepping right into a little Catalan holiday moment — but with that relaxed Lodi charm that instantly puts you at ease.
🍷 A Holiday Feast, Spanish Style
The star of the day?
A giant pan of authentic paella, cooked right in front of us by chef Parker Estep. There’s something so comforting about paella — it slows you down, makes you savor the moment, and instantly builds community as everyone gathers around to watch it come together.

And because this is Bokisch — where Spanish varietals shine — every plateful was paired with a gorgeous lineup of wines, from their bright Albariño to deeper, moodier reds. We even got to taste barrel samples, which always feels like a sneak peek into the winemaker’s notebook.

✨ Little Moments That Make the Day
It wasn’t just the food and wine that made the day special — it was all the thoughtful little touches:
- A JamĂłn Serrano carving station (yes, I hovered around it longer than I should admit).
- Live holiday music floating through the tasting room.
- A sweet DIY cork-ornament craft, which I’m absolutely hanging on my tree this year.
- And of course, holiday wine bundles calling my name… because what’s December without stocking up “for gifts” (that totally end up being for myself)?

🧡 Why This Event Hit Different
Bokisch has always had this way of blending Spanish soul with California ease — but during the holidays, that combination turns downright magical. There’s an intimacy to this event that makes you feel less like a guest and more like you’re celebrating with the winemakers themselves.
It’s the kind of afternoon that makes you pause, breathe out, and think: okay, yes… this is what the holidays should feel like.
🌿 If You’re Thinking of Going Next Year…

Do it. Seriously.
Bring friends, bring family, or just bring yourself for a little reset wrapped in good wine and good energy. Tickets sell out fast — and after finally going, I totally get why.
